Description
This Integrating Sphere is Labsphere model 3P-GPS-033 which allows you to setup your own light measurement system for Spectral Flux / Radiance --or-- create a uniform light source to enable a variety of other applications... It has a high quality internal coating of spectralon that maintains top performance for all applications.PLEASE NOTE: STAND IS NOT INCLUDED.
In radiometry, RADIANCE is the radiant flux emitted, reflected, transmitted or received by a given surface, per unit solid angle per unit projected area... and IRRADIANCE is the radiant flux (power) received by a surface per unit area. The SI unit of irradiance is the watt per square metre (W⋅m−2).
Radiometric calibration is performed by connecting this sphere to a spectrometer (ie: UV-VIS spectral range 200-900nm or NIR 900-1700nm). A calibrated light source is positioned at a specific distance from this sphere (specified by the calibration) and the spectrometer software is set to save the systems Radiometric calibration.
This robust sphere has sturdy port frames, easy access mounting options, and quick-change accessory options so a multitude of requirements can be met. Durable and stable over time, the internal spectralon coating ensures optimal integration of light over the lifetime of this sphere.
Applications:
Researching and prototyping
Custom build systems for light measurement or uniform light source (emission)
Flexible Ports = 3. Two ports on the equator of the sphere at 0° and 90°, one port at the top
